Program Description:A string quartet concert inspired by Vanderbilt Museum’s exhibition, Alva Belmont: Socialite to Suffragist. This concert features four composers who were pioneers for women in classical music at the time of the Women’s Suffragist Movement. Repertoire includes works by Ethel Smyth, Cécile Chaminade, Amy Beach, and Florence Price.
